Microscope Accessories and Replacement Parts
General accessories and parts for use with microscopes. Products include lens oil, lens cleaner, slide dispensers, microscope covers, vessel holders, light cubes, and flow cells.
Many parts of your microscope can be updated or replaced including microscope lamps, lenses, and eyepieces. Replacement lamps, light sources, and power cords can extend the working lives of your microscopy equipment. New or replacement objectives and lenses can help increase the total magnification available with your microscope.
Add greater magnification or exchange your eyepiece for one with a reticule to more easily estimate the sizes of the items being viewed.
Replace or update your mechanical stage or clamps or add cell culture vessel adapters to facilitate specimen positioning.
Condensers can also be replaced, and conversion kits are available to add phase contrast, polarization, fluorescence, or other capabilities to your current system.
Some microscopes can be adapted for use with still or video cameras. Look for cameras and adapters designed for your specific microscope brand. Film and documentation-related products may also be available to support your record-keeping.
Temporary, semi-permanent, and more long-term slide storage options include:
- Slide racks that securely hold slides during staining procedures
- Folding fiberboard or plastic slide holders with horizontal indentations that keep microscope slides in place
- Slide storage boxes with vertical dividers; made from fiberboard, plastic, and wood and available in multiple sizes
- Slide holders and mailers for transporting slides safely
- Slide storage systems and cabinets for large quantities of slides or archival storage
Ted Pella Inc Spectro Tabs, High Purity Conductive Carbon Tabs, 12mm O.D., 120/pk
Spectro brand tabs have been a standard for quality carbon tabs for many years. Construction and thickness is similar to the PELCO Tabs™ Carbon Conductive Tabs above. The EDX Analysis shows only minor impurities of Al, Si, and some localized sulfur particles may be found in the adhesive.
Electron Microscopy Sciences Formvar/Carbon Film 10 nm/1 nm thick on Square 150 mesh Nickel Grid
A formvar coated grid, stabilized with evaporated carbon film. This type of coating is excellent for specimen support, especially for ultra thin sections. All of our coated grids are optically checked followed by batch testing in the EM. Packed in grid storage box. NOTE: All of our film is laid on the shiny side of the grid. Formvar is approximately 10 nm thick with 1 nm of carbon.

Electron Microscopy Sciences Thompson Graticle G23, 16mm
For counting particles in any of three areas of known size. The graticule is calibrated in the same manner as a normal eyepiece scale. The result is then used to calculate the area of any square.

These scales are used for the measuring of lengths of specimen or distances between points on a variety of different shaped objects. By dividing the division of the chosen graticule by the magnification of the objective one obtains an approximate value that each division will represent on the stage. Horizontal micrometer scale.

Electron Microscopy Sciences SEM High Resolution Gold on Carbon Test Specimen, JEOL Stub
The gold on carbon specimen is for resolution test of SE and BSE imaging and also for chemical mapping in high-resolution systems such as an Auger scanning instrument. Each test specimen has a square grid pattern with large crystals in the center of each square, and very fine crystals at the edges of each grid somedium and high resolution gap tests are performed on the same specimen. The larger crystals facets are used to assess the gray level reproduction at high resolution. Gold particles range from approximately 5nm to 150 nm.

NOR CAL PRODUCTS INC NW-50 Stainless Centering Ring with Screen
NW flanges utilize an aluminum clamp with a single wingnut fastener allowing frequent disassembly without tools. The vacuum seal is effected by uniform application of pressure by the clamp on the 15° surface of the 304 stainless steel flanges. The mating flange surfaces compress a FKM O-Ring held in place by a centering ring. Nor-Cal Products offers aluminum and stainless steel centering rings for NW flanges with Buna, silicone and FKM O-rings.
